Kia Ora Stud in Japanese characters

Kia Ora Stud sits atop the Great Dividing Range near Bungendore, NSW; where we breed and fatten quality Wagyu amongst pristine Australian bushland.

Our aim is to produce quality Wagyu free of genetically inherited diseases known to the breed. Striving for genetic perfection, Kia Ora Stud also seeks to meet regulatory standards and community expectations, including for safety and environmental matters.

The success of our company relies on the welfare and competency of our company personnel. We are committed to creating a positive, healthy and supportive environment for all staff to conduct their daily activities.

We offer assistance to small farm owners by providing affordable, quality, reliable, easy care stock to suit your needs. We will even hire you a sire for your joining, and guarantee the purchase of his progeny at weaning. Our aim is to use our genetics to ensure your success.

Noel Jones - Owner, Kia Ora Stud

Noel Jones

Noel is the crazy ideas man behind Kia Ora Stud. He may be new to the Wagyu world but he has a wealth of experience at the other end, owning and working in butcher shops and abattoirs in Australia and New Zealand.

Noel founded Kia Ora Stud in 2015 as his "retirement hobby" after selling his very successful construction company NJ Construction. He spends much of his time on the farm and conducting other business however, so retirement hasn't fully started yet.

Noel is passionate about breeding Wagyu free of genetic recessive diseases, thinks outside the square and is always up for a chat.

Daniel Magee - Farm Hand, Kia Ora Stud

Daniel Magee

Farm Hand

Daniel is our farm hand and is responsible for general animal husbandry and farm maintenance.

Daniel is a Carpenter by trade and has made some incredible improvements to the farm, including building himself some accomodation!

This is Daniel's first time working with livestock and is learning to love them. Daniel's patience and relaxed demeanor is evident in our beautiful quiet cattle. Nothing much rattles the cattle, and nothing much rattles Daniel.

You'll find Daniel on the farm most days, and if he's not here he's enjoying the surf on the South Coast.

Bronwyn Roberts - Operations Manager, Kia Ora Stud through B R Rural Business

Bronwyn Roberts

Genetics and Data

Bronwyn has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the beef industry, and is the person who bring Noel's crazy ideas to life. Bronwyn is responsible for keeping track of our genetics, breeding programs, and data recording.

Bronwyn works with us through her business B R Rural Business and is located in Central Queensland! That doesn't stop her from knowing exactly what is happening (or not happening...) here on the farm.

If you're interested in purchasing any of our products or need some help with your data, breeding program or genetics then she's your girl.
